The Dixon: Historic Theatre is pleased to announce that our architectural and engineering firms will begin work on The Dixon: Historic Theatre revitalization project funded by the EDA Travel, Tourism, and Outdoor Recreation Grant with support from the City of Dixon and Lee County.

Due to the revitalization project schedule, which will be starting this month, it will be necessary to postpone or cancel some of our upcoming shows. The holiday performance of PROPHECY- A TRANS SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA TRIBUTE will run as scheduled. Working with our theatre partners, we have moved the community theatre production of Cinderella to Dixon Stage Left. Tickets already sold will be transferred. More information can be found here.

We intend to schedule performances around the revitalization project as we can. Any tickets sold for shows that need to be cancelled due to construction will be refunded. Any shows that need to be moved for renovations, we hope to bring back for you to enjoy in the coming seasons.

If you are a Season Ticket holder at The Dixon, please at your convenience to discuss postponed shows this season at 815-508-6324. The box office hours are 10:00-3:00 Tuesday and Thursday and 11:00-5:00 Wednesday and Friday. The Dixon Theatre will be closed for Thanksgiving Thursday and Friday.

Stay tuned for further updates as we work through this exciting project for the arts in our community. If you have any comments, questions or concerns, please get in touch with dixontheatre@gmail.com or (815) 508-6324.

Cinderella is a joint venture between Dixon Stage Left and The Dixon: Historic Theatre. Due to renovations and repairs that are starting next month, much sooner than expected, Cinderella will now be performed at Dixon Stage Left located on 1st Street.

If you purchased box seats at The Dixon Theatre, you will receive a $15 per seat refund. These will be processed  this week and it takes 7-10 days to receive the refund to your account.
