Russ is an international jazz festival favorite. And here’s a bit of trivia: Russ’ father played trombone in Louis Armstrong’s band!
Grammy-nominated pianist, singer, songwriter, humorist, radio host, Judy Carmichael is bringing her NPR show and podcast, Judy Carmichael’s Jazz Inspired to the Dixon Historic Theatre, interviewing and performing with her guests, for later broadcast on NPR stations and podcast platforms. Here’s your chance to be part of the show! A limited number of VIP tickets are available to be seated onstage with Judy and her guests, so right in the middle of the action! Judy has boldly gone where no jazz radio has gone before and talks with artists from all fields, everyone from actress Blythe Danner (pictured with Judy here at the Tanglewood Music Festival), to Seth MacFarlane, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Chevy Chase and other creative artists who love jazz and have been influenced and inspired by it.
